Originally from New Brunswick, Joel began his legal studies at the University of Montreal before graduating from the University of Moncton Faculty of Law in 1999. For the past 20 years, Joel has been practicing criminal litigation and regulatory law at an expert level. Having moved from Iran to England in 1990, Elham has first-hand knowledge of the difficulties that come with immigrating to a new country. With a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the National University of Singapore, Richard moved to Canada to continue his legal studies at York University’s Osgoode Hall. After graduating in 2017, Richard articled at EME before joining the legal staff full time. Kate graduated from the University of Windsor Law School in 2016. She exclusively practices family law, including but not limited to custody, access, support and division of property issues. In addition to her Juris Doctor degree, Kate has completed Family Mediation Training at York University, which assists her in reaching fair outcomes for her clients without litigation in court through separation agreements. However, if court intervention becomes necessary, Kate is confident defending her clients in all levels of the judicial system in Ontario. Anna obtained her first law degree in 2007 at Moscow State Industrial University. In 2016 Anna moved to Canada from Moscow, Russia where she continued her legal studies. Helia was born in Iran. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in public administration, she earned her MBA degree in 2016. She then moved to France and studied French at “Institude Catholique de Paris” prior to moving to Canada in 2019. Being relatively new in Canada, she has experienced many of the obstacles that newcomers face. She is passionate and motivated to help other immigrants overcome such issues. Helia also uses her organizational and management skills to keep the office running smoothly and can assist clients with her ability to speak Farsi, English and French.
