An experienced lawyer who has been practicing law for more than two decades, James joined EME in 2025 to lead its civil litigation department. Prior to law school, James earned an H. BSc. from the University of Toronto in forensic science; in law school, he won an award for earning the highest grade in tax law; and in 2021, he was a panelist at the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals' annual conference concerning fraud. A tireless advocate for his clients, James has appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Tax Court of Canada and the Human Rights Tribunal, among others.
